چکیده

We study spectra, localization properties and local chirality of eigenvectors of the lattice Dirac operator. We analyze ensembles of quenched SU(3) configurations on both sides of the QCD phase transition. Our Dirac operator is a systematic expansion in path length of a solution of the Ginsparg-Wilson equation. Analyzing the finite volume behavior of our observables and their scaling with the gauge coupling we come up with a consistent picture of topological excitations on both sides of the QCD phase transition. Our results support the interpretation of the dominant gauge field excitations seen by the Dirac operator as a fluid of instanton-like objects. PACS: 11.15.Ha, 12.38.Gc, 11.30.Rd, 05.45.Pq

We discuss the construction and properties of an approximate solution of the Ginsparg-Wilson equation, the so-called chirally improved lattice Dirac operator. In particular we study the behavior of its eigenmodes in smooth instanton backgrounds as well as for thermalized gauge configurations on both sides of the QCD phase transition. We compare with results from other Dirac operators including ...

Lattice QCD at finite temperature

In recent years considerable progress has been made in understanding QCD at finite temperature using lattice simulations. Calculations of bulk thermodynamic quantities have been done in the realistic case of 2+1 flavors with sufficiently small quark masses using different versions of improved staggered actions [ 1, 2, 3, 4, 5]. This reduces or can even eliminate the uncertainty of extrapolation...

Data Envelopment Analysis from simulation on the Lattice QCD using CCR model

One of the most serious principles in production theory in economic is the principle of "efficiency". Simply put, efficiency can be defined as the demand that the desired goals (outputs) are achieved with the minimum use of the available resources (inputs). In order to, distinguish the relative efficiency of organizational units with multiple inputs to produce multiple outputs, "Data Envelopmen...

Glueball properties in anisotropic SU(3) lattice QCD with improved action

The SU(3) lattice QCD Monte Carlo simulations suggest the existence of the finite temperature deconfinement transition at the critical temperature Tc ' 260 MeV at the quenched level . At the quenched level, without involving dynamical quark excitations, the lightest physical excitation is the scalar glueball with the mass 1.5 GeV < ∼mG < ∼ 1.7 GeV , which can be expected to dominate the thermod...

Quantitative comparison of filtering methods in lattice QCD

We systematically compare filtering methods used to extract topological excitations (like instantons, calorons, monopoles and vortices) from lattice gauge configurations, namely APE-smearing and spectral decompositions based on lattice Dirac and Laplace operators. Each of these techniques introduces ambiguities, which can invalidate the interpretation of the results. We show, however, that all ...
